Scholarships

Value

• This scholarship is awarded to students who have achieved at least an 85% WAM in their first trimester.
• Scholarship holders are offered a 10% reduction in tuition fees for the remainder of the course duration with ECU Sri Lanka (while this WAM is held).

Eligibility

• Be enrolled full-time, have completed four units during their first trimester, and be commencing their second trimester in the year 2025.
• Meet any conditions listed in your Letter of Offer.
• Applicable for both domestic and international students.
• Not be in receipt of a government scholarship or industry sponsorship.
• Meet the academic English Language entry requirements for the course and any other applicable admission requirements imposed by ECU’s statuses, by-laws, rules and policies and procedures.
• Accept your Letter of Offer by following the instructions provided; and be aware of the dates and deadlines for completing any requirements in the Letter of Offer.

Conditions

• Scholarship holders must pass each semester maintain to continue WAM of 85% with this offer.
• The scholarship cannot be used on repeated units.
• The commencement of the scholarship cannot be deferred.

Value

• This scholarship is awarded to students who have achieved a place among the top 10 island ranks in their local A/L or have been world prize winners for UK qualifications.
• The scholarship offers a 20% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of the course undertaken at ECU Sri Lanka.

Eligibility

• Applicable for Year 01 students – new enrolments.
• Applicable for domestic students (Sri Lankan citizens) only.
• Not be in receipt of a government scholarship or industry sponsorship.
• Have been issued an offer to commence study in Year 1 of the selected undergraduate programs in 2025.
• Meet ECU’s academic and English language entry requirements for the select course and any other applicable admission requirements imposed by ECU’s statutes, by-laws, rules and policies and procedures.

Conditions

• Scholarship holders must pass each semester to continue with this offer
• The scholarship cannot be used on repeated units.
• The scholarship cannot be transferred to any other ECU location, ACBT or any other partner organisation, or to another university or education provider.
• The scholarship can be revoked if the recipient does not accept their Letter of Offer or enrol in their course by the date specified.

• Have served as Head Prefects within your respective schools in last 3 years.
• Have passed the GCE A/L examination with at least one C pass from three main subjects.

Eligibility

• Have achieved outstanding individual recognition at the national level in last five years in talents such as singing, dancing, or playing a musical instrument; academic achievements, including Olympiad medals or other national-level academic awards; community service with national recognition; or public speaking, any sport supported by ECU SL and related fields.
• Applicable for domestic students (Sri Lankan citizens) only.
• Meet any conditions listed in your Letter of Offer.

Ordinary Level:

High achievers of local and foreign* Ordinary Level qualifications where students have passed all subjects with three “A”s or more, will receive a 30% reduction in tuition fees for the University Foundation units undertaken in the first trimester of study at ECU Sri Lanka Campus.

Advanced Level:

High achievers of local and foreign* Advanced Level qualifications where students have passed all subjects with one “A” or more, will receive a 30% reduction in tuition fees for the Diploma units undertaken in the first trimester of study at ECU, Sri Lanka Campus.

*Foreign qualifications will be assessed as equivalent high achievers on a case by case basis by ECU Sri Lanka Campus Admissions Manager.

The scholarship program is designed to attract high achievers from the field of sports.

The scholarship offers a 10% reduction in tuition fees for units undertaken in University Foundation and Diploma programs taken at the ECU Sri Lanka campus.

Eligibility

• Students who were appointed as captains of sports will be eligible (within the last 5 years).
• Applicants must be prospective students who receive an offer to commence study at ECU’s Campus in Colombo, Sri Lanka and select an ECU undergraduate degree.
• Not an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Citizen.
• Not be in receipt of a government scholarship or industry sponsorship.

Students who have completed the University Foundation Program at ECU Sri Lanka campus with outstanding grades (Average of > 85% with> 75% for each unit) are eligible for a 30 % tuition fee waiver scholarship in the first trimester of the Diploma Program.
